Girdhari Lal

Girdhari Lal is an instrumentalist currently emerging from the village Jeshtha, situated only a few kilometres from Kullu. He started his quest for learning music at the age of 15 through the means of Karnal but has also grown fond of singing over the years. He joined this group of musicians who support Dolma’s vocals about 3 years ago.

As a student currently studying in 11th grade, he has made tremendous progress using his talent to the best of his abilities. His roots are humble and he comes from a simple family with a homely environment. His father handles a farm with the support of his mother. He took inspiration to learn about music from his grandfather who used to play Karnal.

Girdhari Lal aspires to take up music as a profession as he looks for support from his family who encourage him to pay more attention to his studies. He helps out with the livelihood and finances of his family through his modest contributions which he earns by performing at a meagre two events every month but wishes to do more as he matures in this form of art.
