Group: Devram and Group
Another experienced musician who has been a part of the folk music culture of Rajasthan for over three decades, Tejaram, currently at the age of 50 plays and performs with his group. He leaned the art from his guru, Rana Ji during his teenage years. Currently, he heads a family of four people out of which two are his sons; one working as a mason and the other working in a shop and both of them don’t seem to be as interested in music as their father.
These artists earn about twenty thousand rupees per show and may get merely 3-4 shows every month and just like a lot of other musicians in this region, Tejaram resorts to various other sources of income like farming. Most of his income depends on how the rain favors the cultivation of his crops. His kids help him out with the whole process of sowing and reaping the crops.
Tejaram has already performed in multiple states in the country and now aims to begin to perform on an international stage.
