Kashi is a song for one’s soul. The finale episode creates magic with a beautiful marriage of Meghwal Bhajan and Jazz. The song recites one of a very old Saint Kabir’s tale where he was mocked by the society while living in the holy city Kashi (now Varanasi). To insult Kabir, the villagers spread the rumours that he has hosted a feast of everyone and so all should go. Upon their surprised or shock, the place was crowded with people and everyone was having a feast. Kabir reveals that it was Almighty who himself came to make food and distribute it to the people, thus saving him from humiliation. The song has a lovely soothing feel with the story going on. The song is composed by Syncopation, India’s premier modern Jazz Quintet. They collaborated with the Jaisalmer, Rajasthan’s legendary Meghwal bhajan singer, Bagga Khan and his wonderful group.
