This is a Ghazal, which is a juxtaposition of beautiful words, formed into verses with recurring rhyme and music. This ghazal forms a more spiritual context on the line of Sufism, where the poet is explaining the interconnection of spiritual love, devotion and the pain attached to it. The poet says, whoever is born on this planet is after something or the other but only a few get a chance to experience pain in the name of Allah. Here, the murid (devotee) who has faced a lot of rejection and criticism for his devotion and love towards his Pir (saint) is happily accepting everything as to him his Pir is the ultimate light and his only reason for being alive.

Lyrics –

Ye dard bhi daulat hai
(This pain is also wealth)

Ye daag bhi daulat hai
(This strain is also wealth)

Ye jo bhi kuch daulat hai
(Everything is wealth)

Sab teri badaulat hai
(Everything given by you)

Dard hota nahin sabhi ke liye
(This pain is not for everyone)

Hai ye daulat kisi kisi ke liye
(This wealth is only for a few people)

Kyun jalayi shama bujha dijye
(Why did you lit the fire? Blow it off!)

Aap kaafi hain roshni ke liye
(You are light in yourself)

Aap se hee roshni hai
(Light comes from within you)

Saari ki tohmatein li hain
(I have accepted all the accusations)

Sirf ek teri dosti ke liye
(Just for your friendship)

Dil to mar hee chuka zamana hua
(It has been ages since my heart died)

Jee raha hoon teri khushi ke liye
(I am just living for your happiness)

Kaababutkhana kis liye jaaun
(Why should I go to the sacred place of Mecca)

Aap kaafi hain bandagi ke liye
(You are enough for me to worship)
