When Chuchak, the father of Heer from the famous folklore of Heer-Ranjha, steals the clothes of the fairies, so that he can ask for the blessing of a daughter in return, the fairies come to him and make a deal. This song describes the events that further take place as they may.

(In front of them all was a fairy named heer)

Baki turiyan pichhe ban ke bai Qatari
(Everybody else walked behind her in a queue)

Agge bag bagiche dis de chuchak meher de
(In front of them they could see the gardens of Chuchak)

Vichon khushbu aundi lagdi boht pyaari
(The fragrance emanating from them was pleasant)

Laake leede pariyan ne pattan te dhar laye ne
(Having taken off their clothes, they left them on the banks)

Nachan kudan laundiyan oh taari te taari
(Jubilated, they splashed water and swam over and over again)

Addi raat jado tadka reh gya peher da
(After midnight, when the last quarter of the night remained)

Chuchak aa gya mitro leedeyan da shikari
(Chuchak arrived in a bid to take the clothes away)

Chuk ke leede kathe kr laye saariyan pariyan de
(He gathered the clothes of all the fairies)

Fer nigaa pariyan ne pattan de val mari
(Then the fairies turned and looked towards the bank)

Khali pattan jado dekheya sariyan pariyan ne
(When they saw nothing at the bank of the river)

Jor dahatar patti hai pattan te mari
(They hit their thighs in bewilderment)

Leede chakkan valeya leede sade de ja
(Whoever has taken our clothes, kindly return them)

Saade seene baba chardii hai bai thari
(We are getting cold)

Leede deja gaine laija saariyan pariyan de
(Give us our clothes in return of all the jewels that we have)

Teto mukne hai ni baba umar ve saari
(You will not be able to spend them all in your entire life)

Chuchak kainda leede lailo merio bachario
(Chuchak says, “Take your clothes, my dear daughters”)

Ghar vich janam lae leyo mere varo vari
(In return, take birth in my house one by one)

Deeh tan ikko chuchaka
(A single daughter, o Chuchak)

Chare khunje halaundi
(Is a huge responsibility)

Ehniyan rakhan vaala keda tu tajha dhari
(What mighty emperor are you to have the ability to look after all of us?)

Ik tan tere chuchaka
(O Chuchak, first in your home)

Heer pari ve janmungi
(Heer will be born)

12 saal challan vich jedi firun kawari
(Who will stay with you for 12 years)
