The tradition is ages-old and the artist dresses up like them and dances along while singing the song. It is a ‘Sohar’ geet and this folk form is quite popular in Banaras and around the whole region of Purvanchal. This song portrays the scene after a baby is born, eunuchs visit them and ask for money and put up an act.
