King Janak got really worried, and then Lakshman offered to break it, but Jankak refused as Lord Rama was ready to break the arrow. It was then the mothers and sisters present started singing this song. It is called a Banna song, mostly sung during weddings.

Aaj mere laadle ne dhanush utha liyo
(This day is pious! My son embraced the bow and arrow for the first time today)
Baba ku sang liyo
(The holy ceremony took place in the presence of his father)
Taau kau sang liyo
(In the presence of his father’s elder brother)
Tod ke dhanush siya ram ji ku vyaah liyo
(My son, Ram broke the bow and arrow and won over Sita’s hand in marriage)
Aaj mere laadle ne dhanush utha liyo
( My son embraced the bow and arrow for the first time today)
Chacha ku sang liyo
(His father’s brother is present)
Bhaiya ke sang liyo
(His beloved brother bears witness)
Tod ke dhanush siya ram ji ku vyaah liyo
(Ram broke the bow and arrow and won over Sita’s hand in marriage)
Aaj mere laadle ne dhanush utha liyo
(My son embraced the bow and arrow for the first time today)
