JANAI MAHILA BHAJANI MANDAL

Madhuri Jadhav, a 53-year-old artist from Lohegaon, Pune, is a passionate singer of Maharashtra’s rich musical tradition Ovi. With humble beginnings, she embarked on her musical journey a decade ago, training under Guru Sudamji Khandve. Madhuri specializes in Abhangs, Gaulan, and Kirtans, blending devotion and tradition to inspire audiences.

Twenty-five years ago, in 1997, Madhuri settled in Pune with her family. Though she began her life as a homemaker running a beauty parlour and a stitching boutique, her life took a spiritual turn after experiencing the loss of her husband during the pandemic. Grief led her to the path of Bhakti Marg (the path of devotion).

Beyond music, Madhuri is a social worker, empowering women through Savitri Shaktipeeth and supporting farmers via Bhumi Pratishthan. She believes in passing on traditional values to the next generation, conducting summer camps to teach Marathi folk music.

Despite losing her husband during the pandemic, Madhuri remains resilient, performing at venues like Pandharpur, Alandi, and Kanyakumari. Her mission is clear: to preserve the sanctity of devotional music, promote peace, and ensure its legacy thrives in future generations. For Madhuri, music is not just art—it is a divine connection, a source of eternal joy, and a reflection of God’s grace.
