Surendra

Surendra belongs to a small village of Uttar Pradesh, Azamgarh known as Devgaon. He is 47 years old. He has been interested in music since childhood. He used to  attend different folk gatherings like Birha when he was a child. His uncle was a Harmonium player. He learnt music from his uncle. Now for the last 30 years he has been playing Jodi with Jittu Yadav and he regularly performs in local folk music shows with his group. He is pursuing music as a hobby. He is a farmer by profession and his major income comes from there and also earns a little bit of money from his live shows.
