Surat Ram

An artist who found inspiration in his father’s enthusiastic pursuit of music as an avocation, Surat Ram plays every instrument with prominent finesse. He has been with Sundar Singh for over a decade and is a seemingly versatile craftsman of melodies. Due to the apparent decline of folk culture, Surat Ram found a source of earning a livelihood through weaving, another creative outlet for him to display his artful personality. At the age of 30, he manages to cater to his family, earn a livelihood and perform at a multitude of cultural events as he aims to follow the path of music as his profession.
