Sarvar Khan

Sarvar Khan is a very skilled backing singer and plays harmonium in the group of Sabir khan. He is 14 years old and belongs to Manganiyaar community in Jaisalmer. He has been performing since the age of 12 Years and has done various stage shows across the country apart from playing traditional music in Rajasthani Weddings. He has also played several times in the court of Royal Kings of Rajasthan where the program carries out night long and has got an appreciation for his musical talent. He has learned from his father who has always been his inspiration in Music. He is a well versed Sufi, Ghazal & Qawaali singer who also sings the local Maand Raga very well. He follows the style of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and loves his songs.

He is a very proficient Harmonium player and sings equally well while playing the Harmonium. He has acquired a very good speed in playing the harmonium with practice & hard work. He has a good knowledge of all 36 Ragas and sings songs of various different Ragas. He Majorly sings songs in Maand, bhairavi, Kalyan, and Sarang Ragas. He personally likes song about the topic Moomal’s beauty and performs various songs at the request when he is playing at live concerts or doing private events. He describes music as the main reason that he left his studies after 8th grade. He also teaches his children to play the Harmonium and also encourages them to work hard at studies as well. He always wishes to work hard in the field of music just like his father did and has a dream of becoming renowned like him.
