Saleem Khan, 17 is a student and plays dholak and sings in the group. He learns from his Ustad, Sawai Khan who works with Mame Khan’s group. He has been learning music since he was in school. Saleem maintains a healthy balance of education and his passion, by practicing music in his free time. Saleem Khan, is a composer as well and has composed many songs. He has represented his school at State Level and is all set to go abroad for an International Youth Festival. This 17-year-old man is a man of principles as he believes in propagating the musical art without any selfish needs. He teaches music to kids in his school, for important functions. He wants to make India proud on a global platform. According to him, folk music is endangered and the Government should help and support them financially.
