Puran Singh Bora

Puran Singh Bora, 53, from Almora district, has been dedicated to music since 1988. A multi-instrumentalist, he has mastered the Hudka and also plays the Morchang (Binai) and dholak. Puran is a B-grade artist with All India Radio and Doordarshan, known for performing various folk styles, including Choliya Nritya. He learned the Hudka from his elder brother, Chandan Bora. Puran has performed in almost all states of India, participating in events organized by the government’s cultural departments, and continues to contribute significantly to the folk music scene with his extensive experience and dedication.
