Pramod Kumar Arya

Pramod Kumar Arya, 29, hails from Almora and has a deep-rooted passion for music. Inspired by his grandfather and father, who played traditional Kumaoni instruments and performed Choliya Nritya, Pramod developed an early inclination toward folk music. Proficient in playing the tabla and dholak, and a singer since childhood, he has pursued formal education in music, completing Sangeet Visharad under Rajendra Singh Nayal at Bhatkhande, Almora. He furthered his studies with a BA and MA in music in Nainital. Performing since 2008, Pramod has showcased his talent across India.
