Prakash Babasaheb Kakde, a 23 -year -old musician from Manvat, Parbhani, Maharashtra, is a passionate interpreter from Varkari Bhajans. Currently in his second year of baccalaureate studies, Prakash’s interest in music began with his friends who were linked to the Varkari Sampraday. Inspired by their devotion, he started learning music under the direction of Ashok Maharaj Kadam and practiced for four years.
Prakash plays harmonium and sings devotion songs, occurring regularly in temples, where he shares the rich spiritual tradition of the Varkari community. Music occupies a central place in his life, and for him, it is not only an art form but a means of connection with the divine. Thanks to his music, he aspires to promote social conscience (Samaj Prabodhan) and to promote the teachings of Varkari Sampraday, aimed at inspiring others with the power of devotion and spirituality.
