Prabhu Ram lives with his family where his elders and children also sing. His philosophy in life is that there is no end to the worldly matters, the more you get attached with this materialistic world, the more it tends to take you away from spiritual thoughts. He is a disciplined man and follows a tough routine. He wakes up at 4 in the morning, takes a bath and commits daily rituals and sings prayers (Bhajans) to God. He does not have an interest in Bollywood music or any music apart from Bhajan. Currently, his only source of income is singing Bhajans. Apart from this, he has also worked as a farmer but used to always learn music in the evening even at that time. According to him, listening is the first step in order to learn singing. He possesses good command over reproducing the Bhajans/ Ragas after listening to it just once.
