Pappu Khan

Pappu Khan is an artist from the Manganiyar community of Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. He belongs to a village called Sam and learned as well as developed all his skills in classical and folk music genres there itself, with the assistance of his grandfather, Ukke Khan and maternal uncle, Shankar Khan. Currently, at the age of 30, he began learning music during his teenage years.

With over fifteen years of experience in music, Pappu plays at Heritage resort in Sam village. Along with his group of instrumentalists who have been playing for the last fifteen years with him. 

Pappu Khan wants to showcase his talents all over the world and believes that the community must make more efforts in order to preserve their folk melodies which are centuries old and have been instrumental in the development of their local culture. As a deeply religious individual himself, he believes that it is the interest of their faith that they support these initiatives.
