Mushtaq Khan

Mushtaq Khan is an expert percussionist in Sidhar Musician band lead by Lateef Khan. He comes from the same village as Ahsan Khan. Mushtaq’s skills in playing Dholak as well as understand the beat and rhythm of the song so well that he has also learned how to play Khartal.

Mushtaq took inspiration to learn music from his paternal uncle whose name is Amtu Khan, another established folk musician from the Jaisalmer district of Rajasthan. Despite his polished skills in the art form he only makes a modest income of ten thousand rupees every month. He wishes to explore more opportunities as he moves forward in the field of music in order to make the world a better and more peaceful place. He also aspires to perform in different places of the world and set his culture on a course for prosperity.
