Mohanlal Kushwaha, aged 64, is a talented musician and farmer. He is the elder brother of renowned artist Ghooman Prasad Kushwaha. Like Ghooman, Mohanlal has sung and played instruments since childhood, learning traditional music from their father, a famous Bhajan singer.
He has been performing Akhand Ramayan at a Hanuman temple for 33 years. He has participated in Akashwani Chhatarpur and Doordarshan Bhopal programs.
