Kheta Khan is a young and upcoming artist from the state of Rajasthan. He hails from Baiyya village of Jaisalmer district and belongs to the Manganiyar community that resides in the region. Kheta began to learn music when he was just ten years old from his father Chanan Khan. His uncle, Hasan Khan was also there to assist them during the process as he is also a highly skilled and experienced musician in their community who plays Kamaicha with ample finesse.
Kheta began learning music at the age of ten and lives in a large family of Manganiyar musicians. He has five brothers out of which two are already pursuing their passion in music while Kheta himself leads his musical group. Focusing on folk and traditional music, Kheta and his group play Bhajans as well as Sufi songs. He also likes to sing Qawalis and some Bollywood songs.
Most of their folk songs and melodies revolve around stories from the royal Rajput families especially their patrons, the Bhati family. They involve all the traditional instruments into their music such as Dhol, Dholak, Khartaal, Harmonium, and Morchang. Along with their group, these artists have been to multiple cities within the state of Rajasthan as well as the national capital. They aim to make more appearances across the country and eventually around the globe.
