Khatarbor Mukhim

Khatarbor Mukhim, a 26-year-old musician from the Khasi tribe, is a master of traditional instruments. With a profound love for music and a desire to preserve his cultural heritage, Khatarbor has dedicated himself to honing his skills and captivating audiences with his enchanting melodies. Born into a family of 12 members, Khatarbor’s musical journey began at an early age. Guided by the renowned musician Mr. Banshailang Mukhim, he cultivated a deep understanding and proficiency in playing traditional instruments. His passion and talent soon earned him recognition, and he ventured beyond his hometown to perform in states like Manipur and Assam. Beyond his musical pursuits, Khatarbor remains grounded and humble, finding solace and joy in his craft. His dedication to his cultural roots is evident in his continuous exploration and mastery of traditional instruments. He aspires to pass on his knowledge and inspire younger generations to embrace their musical heritage.
