Jugal Kishor

Jugal Kishor is a 62 years old local folk musician who has played Dholak for over 15 years. He plays Dholak in many folk genres like Lok Geet, Bhajan, Jawabi kirtan, Gari etc. he played with many local folk singers. Still, he has some permanent groups, such as Laxmi Prasad’s, Jairam’s, and Manoj Sen’s. He loves to play Dholak along with his groups .he has learned Dholak from his guru, Manoj Sen. Jugal Kishor is a regular performer in local areas. He has performed at Mahoba, Banda, Charkari and many other places. His significant income comes from labour; somehow, he earns a small amount from his skill.
