Bapu Ganpat Kamble, a 73-year-old musician from Taju, Karjat in Ahmednagar, is a seasoned artist with over 40 years of experience. A skilled instrumentalist, he plays the Harmonium, Casio, Dhol, Tuntuna, and Taal, while also performing folk forms like Jagran, Gondhal, and Devi Ki Gani. Inspired by his uncle, Parshuram Dalimbe, and guided by Lahu Dada Kadam, Bapu Ji’s journey in music began during his school years.
Deeply rooted in Maharashtra’s cultural heritage, Bapu Ji performs at yatras, celebrations, and events like those in Pandharpur. For him, music is both a hobby and a spiritual connection to sanskruti (culture). As a member of Lahu Dada Kadam’s group, he continues to preserve and promote traditional music, ensuring its timeless essence resonates with audiences today.
